They are TrickFlow TwistedWedge heads, 170cc cast, no port work. They work very well in boosted apps. You are correct on the 3.85/.040 = 396

Im more intrigue by the megasquirt. Was it hard to tune? Are you please with the result?

@Bendoyl It was very easy to tune once we got the box set-up for the big injectors. I have not used anything else, so I can't really compair it to the Fast or BS3. Your best bet is to do allot of reading online.

man that is very nice!! No intercooler? i am doing one with a stock 5.3 out of an 04 tahoe-turbo cam-78mm turbo-carb'd-non intercooled. what gas-boost-and do u think i should run water meth? my buddies r trying to get me to convert carb to e85 and turn up the boost.

@notcher89 If you run EFI without an intercooler, you need the meth. If you run a carb and E85, you don't need the meth, so you can kind of see it depends which way you go. I ran this with KS 120 (about 110 octane) and pump super. With the Meth kit, it was only about 150 IAT, and about 15 lbs of boost, so no need to run allot of Meth. It does help though, we took it off for one pull at about 8-10 lbs, and the IAT was headed over 200+.

@nebdrummer It was on a 50/50 mix of 110 race gas, and 92 pump super. The car also has Meth injection, but I believe with more tuning, we could get those number on just 92 and meth.

what kind of heads are you running? and the 396 is the 3.850 crank with a .40 overbore right?
