This week, Newport postcode NP20 2JZ, was drawn as the winning postcode in the first ever People's Postcode Lottery draw in Wales, awarding lucky Street Prize winner Tracey Holyoake £2,500.
With only one player in the postcode sector NP20 2, a delighted Maeri Sondergaard was also awarded £2,500 as a Sector Prize!
Emotional winner Tracey Holyoake was "over the moon" at the news of her £2,500 win. "I am absolutely ecstatic," said a delighted Tracey. "I feel on top of the world!"
The thrilled mum, who has 2 sons and 2 foster children, is hoping to take her family on holiday, saying: "I'd love to take them to the Florida Keys and arrange for them to swim with dolphins!"
Tracey signed up to play People's Postcode Lottery in January this year and explained: "I saw that Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres were one of the lottery's charity partners, and as I spent years working for the St David's Foundation, thought I would register my postcode to play."
Scott's next cheque went to Maeri Sondergaard, who said her win was "absolutely wonderful". Lucky Maeri only signed up to People's Postcode Lottery two weeks ago, and is thrilled about her win: "I'm not sure how I will spend the money, but I'm looking forward to treating myself!"
Scott Quinnell, ambassador for People's Postcode Lottery said: "What an exciting day for our two Welsh prize winners. Winning £2,500 each has made their day -- their week even!
"I am really thrilled to be part of the People's Postcode Lottery in Wales -- seeing people win these fantastic prizes, while also supporting Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres and Missing People is so rewarding. I'm already looking forward to next week -- I could be visiting your postcode!"
People's Postcode Lottery is Wales' own community lottery, raising funds for charities in Wales. Missing People and Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres both benefit from People's Postcode Lottery support, with 40p from every ticket being awarded to these hugely worthwhile charities.
Every week, players across Great Britain have the chance of winning a £30,000 Street Prize. If an English or Scottish postcode wins the Street Prize, an exclusive Wales-only prize of £5,000 will be awarded to one lucky postcode in the country, with the total prize being split between a winning Welsh street and postcode sector.
Congratulations to Tracey and Maeri and thanks so much for playing from all at Maggie's!
