do you recommend using a hot glue gun for glueing pieces together? also your techniques helped me a lot !

You can use a hot glue gun, but I find that it's just as easy and a lot less expensive to use regular white glue. And as an art teacher, I don't have enough hot glue for all of my students to use. One thing with the hot glue, you get those "spider web" threads.
