of course its easier to hit a cricket ball due to bigger bat surface area but just hitting the ball won't do any good in cricket....a good batsman should score at least 50 runs(or more)...there are many players who have scored 100+, 200+, 300+ runs....its not easy to bat that long...you need a fit body....

can you throw a ball at the chest of the batter in baseball or even aim for the head?? I have heard that targeting the batters body is illegal in base ball...but in cricket you are allowed to throw the ball at any part of batsman's body..And by the way cricket ball is heavier than a baseball...and one more thing there are bowlers in world cricket which can throw at a speed of 150+ kmph ...just imagine you are batting without pads or helmet and a ball coming at 150 kmph hits you on the head!!
