Cecilia Yong, Dancer

Cecilia is Malaysia's latest dance queen and winner of 8TVs reality dance competition So You Think You Can Dance Malaysia. She started ballet dancing when she was 9 years old and took up Latin dance at the age of 15 and emerged Malaysias Latin Amateur Close Champion
in 2004, 2005, and 2007 as well as champion of the Malaysian Latin Amateur Open in 2005. She was Malaysias sole representative for the Amateur Championships held in Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Hong Kong,
China, Singapore and the Philippines.

Cecilia aims to elevate the status of dancers in Malaysia by providing a platform for dancers who are interested in making dance a career by organising dancing concerts.

The annual Martell Rising Personalities Awards 2009 recognizes up-and-coming individuals who rise above the competition and have great potential to reach greater heights. Returning for its third year, the Martell Rising Personalities Awards 2009 features 10 rising stars from various fields
