hmm, that gun part of it combined with the octopod... the mag could come in sideways by a power of a rubberband :D but, as its my idea, it probably wont work...

why dont you use an ultrasonic sensor from a mindstrom kit (if you have one) so it will be like a sentry gun, and i will fire at sight ?
