  • Cool!! Served in Kenya 88-90. The main language was English. I was a little disappointed because I wanted to go someplace where I could be immersed in a foreign language. Before I joined I worked with a lot of Vietnamese refugees. I learned Vietnamese and was pretty good at carrying on a basic conversation. Khmer seems very difficult. Vietnamesse uses a romanized alphabet. As I understand it, Khmer is a type of Sanskrit writing. Seems tough. I would love to go to the part of the world.
