  • don't worry about pd, he's bin on the sauce with his mates who carry guns :) it just his idea of a discussion.

I noticed a lazy liftoff with accompanying significant overspeed, the hover taxi was more of a low-level 'buzzing'....

    Enstrom 10/10

    Pilot 4/10

@pd... 'hey hey, rise and shine, it's a beeeoootiful day'

  • @gmantoys Thanks for that info, but they are still using the Enstrom for training and NOT a Robinson, surely if the Enstrom was as bad as 521pd says they would be using something else which kind of proves my point.

  • @350ZEDMAN

They only use that Enstrom as a trainer. They now have a new 500E and a couple of old OH-58's.

  • @gmantoys Do you know 521pd? I feel sorry for you if you do, I certainly wouldn't want a dork like him maintaining my helicopter! So he's a meter reader is he, he probably is bad at that too lol. One other point, if Enstroms are so bad why then do the Pasadena Police continue to use them and not the R22?

  • @350ZEDMAN, 521pd isnt even a mechanic, he reads meters in Pasadena. Thats what's so funny about his comments.

  • 521pd-You're a wise ass, I've been flying Enstroms for 20 years and my father for nearly 40 years, it's THE best light training helicopter out there bar none, it sounds like you're bad mouthing it coz it's not as easy to work on than a R22 or Schweizer 300......lazy shit....not 1 fatal accident in the UK since certification, no other heli can boast this record, how many pilots have we lost flying the ubiquitous R22? Just coz you're a mechanic doesn't mean you know a good heli, obviously.

  • Thank you so much Rudy Enstrom Jr. I'm so glad Engstrom is always there for you. By the way they have nothing better to do but help the five customers around the country that own their crappy product so that is not impressive. Hope you can get your parts after they go belly up from lack of orders you poor guy. Good luck!

  • But yet, your an Enstrom mechanic, how ironic...

  • You don't happen to be an ASTREA tech do you?

  • This 512PD is a mechanic for Pasadena Police in California. I wonder if his boss knows he feels this way since he works on Pasadena's Enstroms?
