  • I wanted to ask your opinion about Traditional Hymn "The Lord's Prayer" from Sing Your Way Home (1945) in English (Otche Nash) that I've posted to rutube.

  • @ddurbinfan I'll be happy to, but for some reason I can't find it on your channel or anywhere on youtube. BTW, You have an absolutely wonderful channel! Thanks!

  • @turetskygambit it's on rutube not youtube.

  • @ddurbinfan Ha ha! And I thought it's just a typo! I've never heard about rutube. Anyway, I liked that hymn very much. American art of that period was great. It's a pity that almost nothing remains of it today. Bad taste and lack of professionalism rule everything. Thanks for recommending this video!

  • On Easter Day 2007, it was estimated that two billion Catholic, Anglican, Protestant and Eastern Orthodox Christians read, recited, or sang the short prayer in hundreds of languages.[7] Although theological differences and various modes of worship divide Christians, according to Fuller Seminary professor Clayton Schmit, "there is a sense of solidarity in knowing that Christians around the globe are praying together..., and these words always unite us." (from Wikipedia)

  • Que c'est beau et bien chanté !

  • the sound of the basses is amazing...

    fantastic! :o((((

  • A very touching version !

  • Love the pace here...quick but not "rushed" ... we sing this every sunday and the Holy Spirit never fails to anoint this version. As THE prayer fo prepare for Holy Communion the simplicity and profound emphasis on words (not melodic embellishments) captures the heart and lifts it to our Saviour Jesus Christ!

  • The photos are of the Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY....
