@GrungyNoah Well this thriller didn't do well as Argento's thrillers for some reason. Fulci accounted that it was released in the summer, too hot for Italians to go to pre-air conditioned theatres. However, some producer liked it enough to trust him with a zombie film which made millions internationally. So I guess splatter sold better by then.
As for the 80s, I admire Fulci's #@*^ them attitude when it came to graphic violence. He make movies that made Jason and Freddy look soft.

They completely give away the twist in this trailer!! That's like if the trailer for the sixth sense said what if you were dead and didn't know it?

Legendary movie ! Probably one of the best Fulci's films out there alongside "The Beyond" and "The Smuggler". In the 70's, Fulci did some genuinely suspenseful thrillers that could match some of the best giallos by Bava and Argento (Bird with the Crystal Plumage, Cat O' Nine Tails, Four Flies on Grey Velvet, Deep Red) before he started relying too much on gore effects in the 80's...
70's were the best !
