very slow recovery from the kicks, i hope you do it slow because of teaching reasons....otherwise you'll be knocked out vey fast

@XXsorinXX Totally! I train in Shotokan myself and in the last competition I walked away with a broken nose! People don't seem to realise the difference between controlled points and non contact. Also when people grade for their 2cnd and 3rd dan, under Kanazawa Kancho (total name drop btw! haha but, hey we do train and grade under him every six months which is awesome!) Those going for the grade must fight bare knuckle, no form of protection, not even gumshields are allowed.

@IWANSCREAM in this case please take a look at some of the more powerful styles like kyokushin and shotokan, tell me that the hard conditioning and kumite in kyokushin are not good. Look also at shotokan fights, you will see only head punches and head kicks which is pretty dangerous if you ask me. Tell me how are karate "is not that good off a martial art"

@XXsorinXX I know what karate is and my best man trains it ... ther is no contact ... if he touches the guy he loses 3 points ... i know that a lot of guys that train it for 10 and more years are good fighters but i stil dont like karate ... i traind it 2 and i say it is not that good off a martial art / sport ( some people say diffrent things) sorry for my spelling mistakes ... english is not my 1st language

@IWANSCREAM excuse me? non contact sport? first of all karate is a martial art not a sport, do you know what a martial art is my good man? all techniques are ment to kill. Please do some research before posting something so pointless, what do you think google is for?

i think karate is shit ( no offense ) because it is saposed to be a non contact sport ... but it is a fighting tehnique ... how can it be a non contact sport ...

@101wrenth Totally. But I have seen guys KO'd with the bottom of the foot too. Everyone underestimates this kick but it is hard to block and awkward to see.
