This video was taken with the waterproof camera mounted on top of my helmet. It was my first experience to steer the 2-seat kayak down the stream. For my buddy it was the first time ever on white water. "Forel" ("Trout") is a kayak made in Russia, very maneuverable but unforgiving mistakes. We capsized when tried to get to still water. At the same time another team was floating down the stream needing rescue. I have some experience of self-rescue, but it was a first time on water for my friend. The kayak was empty (w/o extra buoyancy bags), it captured much water on the turn back and became very unstable. 15C water and too tight spray skirt made my friend too weak to get back to his seat. So he balanced the kayak in the chilly water while I paddled it to the bank to pour the water out. It took us about 30 minutes to get self-rescued. It was quite an exhausting experience for my buddy!
