he said that its good for people with small hands and i have big enough hands i can reach the slide release on a 1911 without changing my grip and im still comfortable with it no weird bending of the fingers.
-
also I have dry fired mine over 500 times no problems but I do use a snap cap just makes since to me to use one thats what they are made for John
-
Your gun must have been a bad run I have fired mine over 5,ooo rounds have never been pinched
It might be your small hands wear some light gloves. John
-
How else are you supposed to de-cock the weapon without dry firing it?
-
btw when installing roll pins check first to see if one side is smaller than the other... smaller go's in first...
-
@chazerrrr I have dry fired mine well over 500 times and nothing..

I've been dry-firing mine so many times at home to show my family how to use it and never encountered any problem! So idk if this is a new issue or an old one that was fixed with the new ones (I recently bought mine so that's what I would assume). Also I've never been pinched by the grip safety either so maybe another thing they may have fixed!
you are not suppose to dry fire your weapons anyway that is why they have practice caps

@redneckfuller1977 Incorrect. Dry firing a 1911 or a Glock will not damage your gun at all apart from the normal wear that it would experience from normal shooting anyways. It all depends on how the gun is designed. The XDm and also Kahr guns have a firing pin that has a notch in the middle where a pin is inserted to stop the forward motion of the firing pin. With these designs, dry firing will damage the firearm.

Hey man, some people use the Youtube comment section to soothe their painfully low self-esteem. I thought your video was great. I was unaware of the potential dry firing issue. Thanks for the info!

@RangerStranger5 Thank you. Glad you found it informative. I too had never heard of this dry fire issue until I was in a match and the roll pin started backing out. Apparently I was dry firing too much at home. Everyone always says dry firing won't hurt the gun but after detail stripping my XDm I realized that that was not the case for this gun. The Glock and 1911 firing pin assemblies function differently from the XDm and thus CAN be dry fired without any issue.

Sorry dude... But you need to get a little more confidence in you voice. It's very hard to take you seriously in this vid.

@DG121480 I am sorry you didn't find my voice "confident" enough. Hopefully you still found my video informative. If you have any questions on the XDm or any other firearm in my videos feel free to ask and I will try my best to answer in a confident way :D
