Yes, I play Pokemon and before anyone asks, Mike isn't my real name.

Anyway, this shows me battling the last trainer you fight in the Orre Colosseum (Lv. 50, Single Battle).

The Orre Colosseum is a pretty hard Colosseum, but I used this team to beat it (in Singles).

She only has the fully evolved starter Pokemon from the Johto and Hoenn regions, so for a final boss, she wasn't that hard to beat.

And I was lucky to get a shiny Beldum from an Egg by breeding a Metagross and a Ditto. I got the Beldum from Ruby, and traded it to Firered where I bred the Pokemon to get the Egg.

After Blastoise fainted, I accidentally left this recording while doing something, so I edited out most of the unneeded footage.

  • Pity that Gengar's STAB moves were physical in 3rd gen, or Swampert would have been felled much quicker.

Did you use any particular EV spread/natures for your team, or have you never heard of EVs?

I did think Ice Beam was a rather curious omission from Blastoise's moveset, but perhaps you had some other strategy in mind.

I've fought a fair few matches against CPU players myself, and while they're not too smart, one or two wrong moves can really corner you, so good job handling this match.

  • @SegaTheGamer

These Pokemon didn't have specific EV sets. They had 100s for five stats and 10s for one of them because I was a newbie to EV training.

As for Ice Beam on Blastoise, I didn't feel like teaching it to him, and just wanted it to be different.

  • retard u had typlosion right there jesus christ

  • @cuneoluis

I didn't want to risk a parahax switch-in if Meganium in case it had Body Slam.

  • you named your pokemon, doofus

  • @Dubickimus

    And?

Nope. Muddy Water is a water type move.

  • @darrellthebarrell

Are you replying to me? If so, get a Marshtomp, teach it Muddy Water, and check the move's type.

  • epic typhlosion mirror match lol

  • damn i want that shiny metagross...

  • lucky win and a lot of critical hits from both sides. This is why luck can be a big factor in this game and completely turn a battle around.

  • I am a veteran at Pkmn, but still after all this years have this doubt:

If sunny day is active, and a pkmn uses an attack with freezing properties (ice beam, etc) can the opposite pkmn be frozen? (too lazy for searching in serebii.net) thanks in advance ;)

  • omg so dynamic game !!

  • @Logicinator I know how the game works. How else would i know that Blastoise is a water pokemon?

And this person still kept blastoise in battle even though he is weak against a grass pokemon. He could of changed it to a fire pokemon at least.

  • @japangotsushi Don't say someone fails if you don't even know how the game works. He couldn't have known she was going to use a grass pokemon first.

  • Thumbs up if you noticed the theme was a remix of RSE Champion theme

  • Muddy Water isn't that good. For one thing, it has less accuracy than Surf. Not to mention, it only affects one pokemon(I think) Either way, if you have a pokemon wanting to learn Muddy Water, Stick with Surf

  • nice battle
