Do you even do research before you respond? there are a growing number of hospitals that contract with private ambulance companies, California has a growing number of private fire care companies do to all the forest fires, The gov has succeeded in destroying infrastructure. And there was no good reason to go to war, as most Americans realize.

The NHS is set to have an 8 billion pound defecit by 2010, is some Fat Lord not paying his fair share?

I don't know where you get your information from... but you have no idea how badly America needed Healthcare Reform. It is INSANITY.

BUT... 2 things.

1. YOU. CAN. KEEP. YOUR. PLAN. THAT. YOU. HAVE. NOW. (Including your Doctors).

2. Your state... that you live in... can OPT OUT of the Public Option in its entirety.

Now we'll be able to see CLEARLY if the new Healthcare system works or doesn't.

1. The government will CROWD OUT PRIVATE INSURANCE, there's a reason their are hardly any private schools in America, because no one is willing to pay for them when their taxed for the public schools anyway.

2. I live in Illinois, there is NO WAY IN HELL MY STATE WILL OPT OUT. IN OTHER WORDS, I'M BEING PUNISHED BY THE GOVERNMENT INSTEAD OF AN HMO, SAME PROBLEM, DIFFERENT PROBLEM MAKER.

Do you even look for stats before you start blathering? Medicare is going BANKRUPT, TOO MANY PEOPLE ARE DRAWING FROM THE FUND AND NOT ENOUGH REPLACE IT. It only got worse when George Bush gave them prescription drugs. Taxes will have to be raised in 4 years to compensate, and regardless 150 billion just got cut from Medicare to pay for this new monstrosity...

1. That's an assumption but fine with me anyway because I'm all for single payer anyway. Private insurance companies have a choke hold on healthcare right now and nobody is giving them any competition. They need competition to be forced to lower their premiums and costs.

2. This is an unfortunate compromise for all of the democratic voters in republican states who WILL opt out.

3. Medicaid and Medicare BOTH work EXTREMELY well. Ask your parents.

4. That's ashame that they think that.

1. The employer based health care will dimish over time to let the goverment pay for it.

2. Like that matters even if a state ops out the people will still be paying for it.

3. We already have Medicaid and Medicare and they are both in the red by trillions of dollars.

4. Most of the people who do not have any medicare are out of collage students and people who don't bother to get insurance because they think they are healthy as is.
