  • They could have, but If they did conduct those tests, it would completely destroy the blade, and trust me, Japanese Katanas ARE NOWHERE NEAR easy to make. A well crafted blade could take months or even years just to forge, without adding the blade lines and hilt onto it. Then, there's the scabbard, or sheath, which takes a few months to make using hardened wood or bamboo. All that detail is the reason why Katanas cost so much.
