it was a greek myth not a roman one! and medusa was a beautiful maiden who was turned into a horrible beast by Athena. and she was one of the three gorgon sisters. look it up!!!!!

:S isnt the story posidon raped madusa and she went for help to athena and athena just saw disgust so she turned her into a gorgon where she was banished to the cornor of the underworld and perceus kills her by beheading her?

I knew I was in for a real treat when I saw the names "Perseus & Medusa" on the screen with a voice saying "the gods and goddesses of ancient Rome." Someone took a great deal of time to make this animated video, but clearly spent little time checking their basic facts.

This is a GREEK myth, not a Roman one. The Romans did not adopt this myth from the Greeks. Perseus, Medusa, and Andromeda are Greek names, with no Roman version.
Perseus kept Medusa's head in a sack given to him by the Hesperides. Later, when he returned Athena's shield, he also gave her the head, which Athena then mounted on her shield.
Perseus and Andromeda did not "dwell among the gods in happiness for all of time." They ruled in Argos, a real place on real Earth, until Andromeda died.
