Oh! Susannah was written in the mid-19th century by Stephen Foster. This instrumental arrangement was inspired by James Taylor's version on his album Sweet Baby James. It just takes the melody and adds an alternating bass pattern with a few decorations.

  • Michellemoorescott who commented on this is incorrect. You play the intro almost exactly the same as JT from what I can hear. I really appreciate you putting this tutorial on & slowing things down to make it easier to learn. Michelle is probably jealous b/c she can't play guitar as well as you. Alot of people say things on the internet & write guitar tabs that are way off. You're right on the $, and the this other chick has no idea what she's talking about. GREAT JOB!!!

  • Nice guitar

  • nice demo and excerpt but you need to take James Taylor's name off this title - this is NOT how he plays the song.
