@LHSE1973 Leopold, if you listen to music he composed, can only be charitably called mediocre as a composer. It makes no sense that he would have his son pass off his music as his own when it is so much better.

Never-mind at what age Mozart wrote this - still it remains pure genius as not many composers of his caliber had. Mozart will remain as one of the greatest classical composers of all time. Also - the soloist here is amazing, no doubt about it ! Thanks for positing !!! :-)

Yes, because Mozart's father was not great enough as a composer to have written this. Just listen to the duet "Natus cadit" which shows up as a link at the end of this video. Mozart was gifted as few others have ever been.
