what were the rules this year? last year we were told we could thrust, but the judges wern't scoring thrusts, made it hard to do anything descent.
the pollaxes then were far too light as well, how about the new ones?

Thrusts counted this year and the pollaxes were the same ones as last year.

What were the poleaxes made of? They don't sound like they are metal.

They consist of wooden shafts with rubber and aluminum heads.
Regardless of the material they still hit like a ton of bricks.

Visors, open! Wow! This was wonderful. I've fought with pollaxes (rattan) in the SCA, and I must say this video put everything I've done to shame. I am in awe.
