You pay to government managed insurance company. And it's optional, and it increases competition and choice, witch is good, whether you look at it from liberal or conservative standpoint.

Private sector medicine is a joke in theory. American's realize this. The big major insurance companies have ONE major priority, and that is to report profits to it's shareholders. 2nd priority is to make enough money to operate itself, and then 3rd offer some care that isn't really good for all but great for the ones who can afford the most comprehensive package. This banter about how the private sector promotes competition is moot. Private sector cuts corners for profits. I am a socialist. YAY
