Since these animals cant be released back into the wild, I wonder if they have ever thought of selling them to zoos around the world. It would help with breeding and I'm sure there a zoos out there that would love some new animals. Also In turn the money that they get, can help make better facilities for future animals to come.

if they recently came from the wild, they'd be fine! (unless @HIGH risk of (re)poaching etc) -\we need2stop being such arrogant humans & assuming they cannot fend for themselves, nature ALWAYS knows best! I understand what you're saying&at times it might be true, but generally-FREE them & make taking of them FROM the wild a CRIME! As for zoos-debatable,BUT-the concept of 'showing them4education' is how a lot of this started-We need to go get educated in THEIR territory. Not the other way around.

Most of these animals would not survive in the wild. Yes they should have freedom and a big nice area to roam around in, but the fact is, they'll still have to be caged in some way, feed and taken care of by humans. If it was that easy to just let them roam free in the wild again, I'm sure they would of.

Not all zoos are horrible places, they are also good to provide education to future generations about the speices, so they inturn can have a passion for protecting them.

Ask zoos around the civilized world (not China, where they might be served at the zoo restaurant), if they want them!

Well... They're the first ones to admit that continuously raising these animals in captivity sucks... but the 2 choices are dying of old age in a cage... or dying within days to starvation/dehydration/sickness/predation/competition in the wild. So letting them die in a cage is a little better than letting them die in the wild with 0 chance of survival. not much better, but better.
