Demo of a killer all original vintage '65 Blackace Twin Reverb. Running through it a Fender Custom Shop LTD '58 Tele Heavy Relic loaded with the sweet Broadcaster/Twisted Tele pickup combo. For the Boost/OD, a T-Rex Tonebug Overdrive pedal. The setting is a small closet size room. The actual tone in the room was much warmer and fuller than what the camera captured, but at least you'll get an idea. Please excuse the playing.

Guitar: Fender CS '58 Tele Heavy Relic 3-cl Sunburst
Pickups: Broadcaster bridge/Twisted Tele neck
Amp: '65 Vintage Fender Blackface Twin Reverb
Pedal: T-Rex Tonebug Overdrive

  • Cool tone. I'm thinking of getting a tonebug od, really versatile pedal.

  • Its a very very clean sounding OD/Boost pedal and too me pretty darn transparent as well. An excellent value for $99.99 for sure!

  • DAT NECK PICKUP OMG

  • @MrDirt86

Uh, no. If you want it to sound warm, you need to crank it. It sounds just fine, it's clear and crisp- plus, as he said in the description, it sounded better in the room, it wasn't a great mic.

  • Question: does anyone think a distortion/od pedal would "dull" the reverb on a 68 silverface twin? thx for any advice, peace

  • I love that tone. Very 70's sounding.

  • nice amp man, the blackface amps all have that sparkle at lower volumes, then get harsh when cranked a bit, they are also touch sensitive, u can control the tone with have you play, the new amps just don't have that as much

  • Man this is a tube amp. If you want it to sound good you need to crank it up a bit. Otherwise it sounds thin and anemic. Nice playing tho man.

  • thin fart-sound

  • one of the best amps ive played with. they're so fucking loud too

  • @drcanehdian The Masterbuilt's can. They're handmade to your exact specs and sound amazing.

  • the RI's just can't compare to the originals !
