Some weeks ago one of my hard drives (I believe the lower one) is making some strange "clicking" noises. Apparently when I do a lot of stuff with it like for example decompress a lot of files, the drive gets kind of stressed. I dont think this ir normal. I am making backups but this takes forever as it is a 500GB Western Digital Caviar SATA2 Drive.

  • Is not normal, and the drive has been replaced. If this happens to your drive BACKUP ASAP and then run extended tests to the drive iteslf but if it makes "hardware" noises dont trust that drive anymore.

  • @TheBagelTornado

  • Oh my god, are you on EVERY one of these videos spreading this bullshit?

  • How many drives do you have lol? I had 3 on my old Win98 SE PC:

    One 2GB

    Two 1GB

  • the government is tracking your computer!

  • My new WD5000AADS is doing the same thing...random clicks every few 10s of seconds

  • That's normally the aftermath of having at least one head crash. That's probably your problem, or head damage could be the fault.

  • Click of death

  • u had a head crash. u r doing the right thing u r making back ups. GET 1 new hard drive.
