@m5p944 I guess it comes down to the sound you love the most (as a spectator). Take a look @ this video, Cosworth did in fact try to "put a turbo on it" & kept on killing engines, they ended up developing a new engine ground up. I take my hat off to anyone who can build a 1000 HP four or six banger.

@m5p944 My friend has a SR20DET runs on 95 octane with 750hp didnt replac much in the engine, has went thru 0 part replacements, 0 piston replacements. If a SR20DET can go thru that im sure a RB can.

@REPOMAN24722 for those of you who think you can get 1000BHP at the wheels from RB26DETT engine:
1) have fun tuning the RB26DETT for methanol, because it won't put out that much on the best premium you can find.
2) Have fun trying to keep the inefficient TT system with power outputs like that.
3) Have fun replacing the hundreds of drivetrains you chew out.
4) Have fun buying new engines because you keep launching the number 2 piston through the side of the engine block and into orbit.

@REPOMAN24722 you sir are complete idiot. I don't believe you're even sane.
"A little" tuning WILL NOT get you 1000BHP. On average small, common and cheap mods and tuning get your roughly 500BHP. Something special will get you 800BHP and something completely unrealistically expensive and undrivable on road will get you 1000BHP at the FLYWHEEL.

@amd64online turbo? We're talking about engine displacement here. Any retard can put turbo on top of that. Otherwise my pick gonna be Nelson Picquet's BMW 1.5 liter 1044kw(1400hp) turbo engine with 11,200rpm.
