Yeah, like americans are glorified in this movie... The film was not made as an accurate portrayal the war in Vietnam, it is made to show men being broken down by war itself. The vietnamese in this could be from any other country. The movie's goal is to tell its story as good as possible, and it clearly succeeds, as I, among many others think this is one of the greatest pieces of cinema ever created

I feel so disgusted by the producer of this movie. So, basically, 3 americans (as you can see) are going with their army to occupy vietnamese territory, and still them are becoming victims of so-called vietcong? this movie has nothing to do with war in Vietnam. it's so misleading and pointless. makes no god damn sense. I mean, how can americans be so dumb and brainless to make such movie? to put Vietnam in position as negative character. I'm deeply annoyed by this matter. Yes, i am vietnamese
