Elvis Presley I Understand (Just How You Feel)
Written by Pat Best. Elvis sang this song at the home of Eddie Fadal in Waco, TX in the summer of 1958. It is available on the Home Recordings CD.

Do you remember all the love we had for each other
I was your play thing...

I miss you so
Please believe me when I tell you
I just can't stand to see you go, you know
Please understand just how I feel
Your love for me might not reveal
And if you know this time it's real
Well understand

I miss you so
Please believe me when I tell you
I just can't stand to see you go, you know
Please understand just how I feel
Come back to me, my love is real
And you will know this timeless feel
Will understand

Will understand

  • does anybody knows if elvis recorded this after his mother died cause the title says summer 1958

  • Sorry, I don't have a specific date. Elvis was stationed at Fort Hood, TX April-Sept. 1958; He used to go to Eddie Fadal's house frequently while stationed there. His mother also visited there. Gladys died 8/14/58. He left for Germany 9/22/58
