El festival, que celebra su 30 cumpleaños con la habitual lluvia de propuestas, incluye una curiosidad del cine documental uruguayo de 1922, "El homenaje de Uruguay a los restos de Sir Ernest Shackleton", sobre ese famoso explorador de la Antártida.
