It was 11 am when 14 Young Explorers arrived at the huge clock of main station Zürich. Lörrach, Chateau D´Oex, Termen, Basel, Darmstadt, Stuttgart and Freiburg we all had a more or less long journey to spend the day with the other YEP´rs.
After meeting up, we soon organized ourselves and split up in groups to go out into the city, spreading the Pangaea message, distributing flyers of the Young Explorers Program and the Pangea Shark Project.
Our greatest aim for this YEP meeting was definitely to race awareness about the 100 million sharks that are killed in our oceans, every year. Informing people about the slaughter of the sharks, telling them facts about these so intelligent animals, that even feel a diver's heart and control two thirds of our planet was really inspiring and also aroused a few very interesting discussions. Having no idea what we could expect, speaking to random guys on the street, it surprisingly turned out into meeting a large variety of nationalities, such as people from Chile, Israel or USA...
