That must be very hard, especially when in the presence of an in season mare. He's got his weewee out and everything! {:/

After watching several of his amazing videos, one has to wonder, could a woman do this too? Do you think it could be the man's stance, physical appearance & testosterone that make unruly stallions listen? I am of the thought that men do better with horses than women, as in they far outnumber us as clinicians. Thinking maybe horses respect men more than women. Just sayin'....

I love the fact that he doesn't want to "rein-in" the horses wild spirit, yet shape it. I wish I had done that from the beginning.

a bit is intended for refinement not force.
A bit is not cruel, hands are.

Kudos! It is refreshing to see a man that takes an enlightened, holistic and spiritual approach to interacting with equines, acknowledging and working with the 'magic' that is their 'essence'. I can't begin to express what equines have taught me regarding the magical and spiritual underpinning of life.

I really like this way of riding. Its so generis.

Impressive example of what can be achieved with sensitivity and understanding, but please don't coil a rope in your hand like KFH does, you cold lose it so easily if things went wrong!

well riding is 90% ur seat and 5% leg and 5% hands. so really a bit is unnecessary but it is useful and if used correctly, it doesnt force a horse to do anything, its rather a guide. and is great as a safety device, as it gives u just that much control in a dangerous circumstance.
That's a gorgeous horse

You shouldn't need a bit for jumping. A bit should do nothing but help you steer the horse and control speed. If you can achieve steering and speed control without a bit--which you can if you can achieve this level of control without one--then you do not need one, clear and simple as that. It's not as easy, but riding is not meant to be easy. Anyone can make a horse do what they want, with enough force. How you ask them is the difference.
