Get out at the station feel the old elation
This bright paradise beneath an English sky
by a field of gold wheat that shimmers in the june heat
Leafy greens and woody browns to ease my city eye
Heal me now English country heal me now
Is it any wonder an empty heart can fill
At the rumble of the thunder on the little
heathy hill?
Scramble up a rough track stop to rest and look back
See the long line of the south downs marching to the sea
Up above are skylarks down below a dog barks
Along the lane a rich man's daughter riding home to tea...
Trickle in an old ditch oak tree like a childs witch
Take the path down fron the hill and through the ancient wood
Yes and I've been here before senses wide in every pore
And I get that feeling here that does my heart some good...
