Microsoft Commercial, probably from somewhere in the early '90s, promoting Windows 3.1 and MS-Office

  • I liked DOS 6.2 myself, we didn't need Windows!

  • @wls91 we don't need windows now either. You could run a current text-mode linux.

  • Hmm. I'm a Mac user, but I AM longing for windows. What do you people think?

  • @WollyhoodStudios we don't think. Microsoft does that for us. Haven't you noticed ? :)

  • And here is when I edit her AUTOEXEC.BAT file and remove the reference to HIMEN.SYS. Let's see if it's so easy to use after that, mwahahaha.

  • @RaleTheBlade himem.sys was loaded from the config.sys file at the time. Later on (Win95+) , you didn't need to specify it anymore.

  • @WollyhoodStudios you'll long to turn it off right away and through it out the window. that's how my pc computers made me feel along my 16 years with windows, before switching to mac.

get Paralells or VmWare and try windows on your mac. if you like it, you buy one.

  • @phoxetis Heh!

  • @phoxetis Sata works fine, and biglba is solvable after sp3. All current nvidia drivers for xp works on 2000 and usb 2.0 is a chipset issue and intel and amd support it fully on XP and 2k (as they use the same drivers,) With games you might need a fake layer though to fool them that you are using XP of the version control on the installers wont let you install. Otherwise you are golden.

  • I use Windows 3.1 in VIrtualBox, and the mouse is crap. I have to move it so slowly! :(
