What does the RR like from the outside?
-
isn't 1997 the last year of the british made rolls

very good, but I think the drive would have been better with out the music, then we would hear the noise level in the vehicle and obtain more of a feel for the car....just a question .....what is the semi circle object we see through the camera near the windscreen? is it something to do with the wipers?

Imagine Indiana Jones in one of these...

Yes, ShandyHall is right. A Rolls mechanic told me a while back to avoid 81-87's due to a variety of problems, the most costly being oil pump malfunctions. Series 20,000 onward is correct.
You missed the turn!

I did not want to get a speeding ticket (inside joke).

Absolutely gorgeous automobile! I am in the market for one, and was hoping you could tell me how these cars hold up mechanically? I have heard RR's between 1980-85 are the most dependable? Are we talking alot of expensive maintenance here compared to say a Mercedes Benz of the same year? I would appreciate your input and thank you for this lovely video. =)

R-R was in trouble in the early 80's. From what I hear, if you are interested in an 80's vintage Spur or Spirit you'd want a 87 ½ or newer car, Series 20,000 onward. Newer = better. Don't worry about mileage, worry about maintenance, and be sure it is PROPER maintenance. On a R-R things do cost more than on an M-B.
I have two suggestions. 1 buy Graham Robson's book R-R a& B Vol. 4: Spirit to Azure, and 2 join the Rolls-Royce Owner's Club. Please let me know if this has been helpful.

Very interesting video, although I would like to watch a similar one without the soundtrack added. Actually, I was searching for "rolls royce ride" to hear how quiet these machines are from the inside :-)
You could consider adding a footage of a Rolls Royce ride on a bumpy road so that others could experience this brand soundproofing and smoothness qualities. It certainly should be a roller strong point!
Best of luck :)
