I'm writing a midterm paper on this film this week; I discovered this just in time. can't wait to watch it with the cinematic orchestra's full score of the film...

The whole album is, I believe, a true masterpiece. But it HAS to be listened to whilst watching Vertov's film. At least the 1st time. Get the DVD, you won't be disappointed.

apropo: I tried watching it with Vertov's film, but I couldn't figure out where to start it; often times I'd adjust the timing again to what seemed to be right based on the song titles, but within a few minutes it seemed to be out of sync again. Finally in the last few songs I matched it up by subtracting the song duration from the duration of the film and managed to get it right, but the first 50 minutes were touch and go...

Some of the music from everyday was reworked for the soundtrack, some of the songs are original. for instance all things to all men is included, without the vocals, and in a reworked format.
