Maddie faces turmoil on Christmas Eve when she insists her employees work. As TV Series with Christmas episodes go, this is one of the absolute best-well written and well acted. It is a good example of why this show was one of the best in it's first two seasons. Also, lot's of TV series have used the plot of It's a Wonderful Life to get a message across, but none have done it as exceptionally well as this. One of my favorites, can you tell?

  • Fantastic, thank you so much! When this show was running on all cylinders, such as this, it was the best darn thing on the tube, IMHO.

  • I totally agree with your assessment.

  • This opening scene of this video is great to watch to remind you how much life sucked before cell phones.

  • Don't you mean 26 years?

  • Wow! Can't believe it's already been 25 years since this aired. It still looks good now 25 years later.

  • 25 years to the day that it first aired (according to IMDB 12/16/85) and this is still my favorite Christmas episode of any show, ever. In the first few years after it aired I rewatched this so many timesthat I still remembered huge chunks of dialogue and even how the actors read their lines. Some wonderful writing on this show (but co-writer of this episode Carl Sautter gone too soon, RIP).

  • any more episodes of moonlighting? I was 11 -13 when i watched this ...i used to love it !

  • ANGELYNE!

  • Well, 'thinlizzybone', it's supposed to be about a gorgeous ex-fashion model who's partnered with a "hip" private detective in a small agency she originally bought as a tax write-off- and Maddie and David don't always see eye to eye with each other on business and personal affairs, but they DO have a mutual respect for each other, as they slog through various cases and their growing personal relationship. This episode is a nod to "It's A Wonderful Life" {what would life be like WITHOUT Maddie?}.

  • What the hell was this show about?

  • BEST show....EVER!!!

  • Love this show!!!!!! Why did show like this have to die out 4 B.S.?
