I agree, Art Powell should be in the Hall Of Fame. He alsohelped fight segregation during his playing days, leading a boycott which forced the AFL to take the AFL All-Star game out of segregated New Orleans in January 1965.
With Don Maynard and Lance Alworth being elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, justice would be served if they opened its doors to Powell, who put up some amazing numbers during his career.
Art Powell was a superb reciever. His career was cut short by several years at the age of 30 by a severe knee injury against his old teammates, the Oakland Raiders, just after he had been traded to Buffalo for Daryle Lamonica.
