Goose bumps go out to you both! I know just what you mean about them still being perfectly happy! And about having to make that decision when the times comes. So long as mine still purrs like crazy with a chin and head rub and isn't in pain I fully intend on doing all I can to make him as comfy as possible!

Thank you so much for this video! My cat's recently become disabled and incontinent so I really needed to know this was an option! Keep up the good work!

Nice to know you all didn't give up on her! What is her name how old is she? I'd love to know more about her. Does she still try to use the litter box? She's a real cutie. Kudos to you all for taking good care of her. :0)

I should also add, beware in summer months of flies around their bums, we found a couple of times they'd laid maggots in her nappies. It's not very nice, but if you keep checking and disinfecting and even showering them, you keep them clean.
My girlfriend would also want me to say we're sure she was a happy cat, she loved just eating and being fussed and sleeping on our feet, she didn't walk very well, but just dragged her back legs. When that changed, we knew it was time to let her go.

Yeah, it's quite doable. Sadly little Louise (or Dennis the Menace as I called her) died a couple of months ago, but all in all, she soldiered on for 3 years with the lit tray, and another 1 year or so with nappies.
Eventually it was her back we think that let her down, she just took a turn for the worse and couldn't stand up any more, she just lay there.
Her history was she was hit by a car and abandoned by her old owners, and my girlfriend adopted her from the RSPCA as an indoor cat.
