Here is Part 1 of a brief overview of how I built my lift out bridges for my model railroad. I've had a couple of people ask me about how I made them. If you have any more questions drop me an e-mail

  • How did you do this and keep power to the rails

  • @starguard I use a combination of eighth inch ma/female connector to rout power to the sections.

  • Thank you. That is very helpful. I ended up screwing down my liftout and turning it into a 'duck under'!!

  • i am doing the same thing in o scale with mth scaletrax. the liftable area will be a mth double track bridge ontop of a small piece of reinforcement wood painted the same color. it will lift up to the right rather than just taking it off completely. nice idea. this helps out sooo much.

  • N scale

  • I see you are like me:You play guitars and you are into model railroading.

  • I like your use of using foam tubing to help prevent derails from going off the lift span sections to the floor. ( :

  • Makes sense to me, ha ha.

I guess this does require someone more mechanically inclined, or experienced.
