This is our second year visiting this area. We went to meet some friends, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery on the Tioga Central Railroad, Grand Canyon, and Camping.

We started out the weekend stargazing in Cherry Springs Park and spent the night in Coudersport (Westgate Inn) and the next morning made a quick stop in Lyman Run State Park. These scenes are not on this video. Lyman Run park has recently been renovated and is spectacular! Facilities are out of this world for camping, picnicking, swimming and boating too!! Free admission into PA state parks so all the better!

Video starts from our Saturday and Sunday routine. We spent time on the Tioga Central Railroad.

I highly recommend you take the trip- it's $20 and worth every penny. Each car is themed a little different, and the scenery, as stated on the video on their site, changes from towns, forest, lakes, mountains, etc. It's simply superb.

Also in this video are scenes of the Grand Canyon of PA- from the West Rim. This was our first trip to Colton Point Park, as we had been to Leonard Harrison side many times in the past. This side is a bit more stunning, and the three or four view points we visited were easily accessible by car and short, easy walks. We also spent the night in Kenshire Kampgrounds. It was nice as we had a 'water front' property and nature's music of Pine Creek lulling us to sleep. However, the Pine Creek is not really the same (it's a tributary, I think) Pine Creek that flows in the Grand Canyon, and this campground is very crowded- much unlike the private campground sites of Lyman Run. I guess you gotta trade off .... waterfront for privacy... There were also a lot of roudy teens at Kenshire, which I don't think were at Lyman Run (our friends stayed there).

Following the camping, the Grand Canyon and adventures we spent 3 hours riding on Pine Creek Trail from Darling Run past Tiadaghton. On our way back, in the last three miles we got caught in nature's light, music and shower show! It was fantastic! I never biked in the rain, and never in a thunderstorm. Sure it's not the safest thing to do, but it was unexpected and fun!
