Fighting The Urge To Purge In Colorado

As election time closes in, a federal law prevents the purging of voters from the rolls, even for the normal, valid reasons, like death or relocation, because it's too easy to make mistakes or manipulate the process. Colorado Secretary of State Mike Coffmann, who is also running as a Republican for a Congressional seat, has been purging tens of thousands of Coloradans from the voter rolls anyway.

Just for trivia. In Australia everybody is required by law to vote ( with a small token fine if you refuse ). It has never taken me more than 20 minutes to line up and cast my vote. All ballots are paper ballots with a paper record. After the 2000, 2004 elections and the way this one seems to be shaping up, i worry international observers may be required. Honest elections should be taken for granted in a nation like the USA. From an outside perspective, US elections seem to be becoming a joke.

They are indeed becoming a joke. There are many places within the US where the fraud and such is in the same boat as many jerked off African countries. When you look at the scale this shit is taking place the fact that Americans continue to be fooled into believing they're the greatest nation, or even just the assumption they're the greatest democracy, on earth is just astonishing. It's such a joke; so many countries put them to shame every time those countries have their own elections.
