Greetings aviation enthusiasts! This is a new video clip of the "Fokker Dr. 1 Dreidecker" from TeamM - produced on the 8th of April, 2009. Mikael Carlson from Sweden is unique in the world due to his dedication to historical airplanes, both to build/restore them and to operating them. TeamM's aviation photographer Bertil Malmström visited Mikael Carlson this weekend, and the result can be viewed here! Enjoy! /TilleTeamM

  • It's the best video I 'd ever seen about that plane...Excellent!!!

  • @Mr821978

Thank you all for such nice comments. I'm sure Bertil Malmström is reading your lines as well. Mikael did fly at the Gothenburg Aero Show 2009 with his Fokker Dr. 1 Dreidecker and his Bleriot XI. We did a feature on him and his airplanes as well on the DVD, and as a bonus feature we produced a feature of Mikael Carlson's adventures in France this year when he crossed the English channel. All the best to all of you, and a Merry Christmas./Tille, TeamM

  • A couple bursts from the Spandaus in your next vid please!

  • Gorgeous, and a radial engingine as well? Fantastic

  • That plane is such a pussywagon, I would kill for that thing. Chicks love tripes.

  • Fantastic to see it powered by a rotary!! Here in New Zealand there are seven, but sadly none are powered by rotaries unlike a Camel, a Snipe, an Avro 504k, a Nieuport 11 and a Fokker D.VIII.

Excellent Photography of an excellent aircraft!

  • That Dirty Fokker....!

  • @Simpson654: I understand it is most easy to slip off on a wing. One must pay careful; attention at all times. The Fokker DVII was a great improvement over this Fokker F1 (as depicted here) and made an ordinary pilot good and a good pilot great.

  • There's a few of these still flying around, surprisingly may of them still with Oberursels or Le Rhones. I've seen at least two running Lycoming 4-cylinders, but I can tell you this: that rotary sound is unmistakable.

  • Otroligt vackert att se Dr1:an i luften! :) Tack för en bra film!
