  • hes black so this really isnt a big deal

  • Idiots on here with their racist bs don't even know the male world high jump champion is a white dude. Yaroslav Rybakov (RUS) The female high jump champ is Blanka Vlasic, who is Croatian. Anyone with the determination and will to train hard enough to accopmlish athletic feats. Genetics help, but genes don't guarantee ability. Watch the Olympics. There are great athletes from ALL ethnicities.

  • @L0kwense because the world record and best high jumper ever wasn't white. He was cuban. Also calm the hell down. No one is being serious. Jokes.

  • @cmhtrain racist fuck! go to hell!!

  • I guess you could use me as a sample genetics wise, I've attempted this same jump and if you would like to see its on my profile. For this specific example jumping, I do not train anywhere near the level of a professional athlete and was able to do this with little to no training/ a few trys. But if I were to train there would be significant gains in my abilities Obviously . Genetics/ability is gods version of steroids, subtract genetics from most pros and you'll find your self at LA fitness.

  • @andrewh17 The long bones is used for leveraging. Tall folks doesn't necessarily use leveraging. You would see yao ming, kenny george, these folks got it all longest. I seen 6'8" who can't jump for shit.

But when I was talking about threshold, I meant muscles. "SIZE".

There are models of how much an averager NOT taking steroids can gain. 40 - 50 pounds muscle gain brings tons of strength in squats then transfers to jumping.

Diminishing returns were purely functional strength ratio.

  • @JuggernaughtJump You're right that most average joes don't maximize their strength, but since strength gains are subject to diminishing returns, and since people with long bones in their arms and legs have the potential to gain more strength, I think my statement is true.

  • @andrewh817 I disagree. It determines it but the threshold. the THRESHOLD.

Is way more before an average joe able to maximize it. There's lots of rooms ENVIRONMENTALLY (training for years). Weight training than just "what you're given". Therefore it's difficult to assume it all to genetics. Just show me these averagers who had actually maximized an actual absolute strength. I will assure, non of their minimum vertical jumps would get lower than 40's. In fact they'd hit 50 easy.

  • @125moley what are you talking. fibers can be converted by merely the nature of training. It's been shown that it is in the amplitude of the nervous system and the fiber itself has variance which means that it's not 100% slow or fast.

In a sense, go train for marathon running, and then compete in 100 meter dash. You'll see.
