Happy Thanksgiving everyone! My Aunt from Long Beach came up and showed me how to make Palitaw, a favorite dessert/snack.

This version of Palitaw are soft rice dumplings served floating in a sweet coconut sauce topped with roasted coconut milk solids (Latik), popular in the Tagalog provinces in the Philippines. Enjoy!

  • i think this is not a typical way to cook pilipino palitaw

  • @sabogakome

I think I don't do typical. That would be a little boring, no?

  • how did you make the latik? i've tried it many times but i always fails. i use teh creme of coconut...do i have to use fresh coconut milk?

  • @riccinano Nope. Just use the canned coconut milk and reduce slowly. It takes some time, but you have to be patient. Thanks for watching!
