This is the video of the very first test drive of the dune buggy that Brent and Jason built. It is powered by a d16z6 from a 1994 honda civic. At this point, the buggy was no where near completed, and actually had only one switch, and that was for the fan. I will upload another video of the final product this week.

  • Check out some of the other videos to find out. I have one that reviews most aspects of it...and it is very fast.

  • What a waste of a great engine

  • @Genamel18 They're a dime a dozen. We're actually about to trash it and throw in a b18b.

  • dam thats intense i wanna do that now haha how much would just the buggy chassi cost? $1100?....and i laughed so hard when you revved it at the end and it sounded just like a civic LOL!

  • @TheRallycrossKing The chassis actually was fairly cheap...in all we managed to build the bare frame for around $600. However, the fully painted frame with all tabs and everything was about $2300 and 600 man hours or so. And the whiskey bottle was the temporary coolant reservoir.

  • We made this thing for mainly street (see the other videos where we do a road test) and it performs GREAT. It will blaze down the road and in terms of handling, it is so quick around curves it is scary. If you build a similar vehicle and make it JUST for road, you will be very satisfied. Our next plan is to put in a b18b and boost it. Check out the road videos.
