NQD tear into jetboat with a 3S lipo and reworked driveline. This batt is half the weight and gives double the current draw of my NiMh pack. Much quicker but motor and esc get a bit warm.

Update: I have put a watercooling plate on both the motor and esc. It can now run full throttle for as long as you like.

For those who have asked, sorry it has taken so long to reply.

  • i honestly dont like the NQD brand, but great video that thing can really gun it.

  • @TheCultofKings: Yeah they are pretty crap, but its an cheap and easy way to get a decent hull and jet unit, just add your own power package :)

  • Do these boats ever tip over upside down?

  • @RCWinnipeg: yeah they do but they trap air in the nose and will float for ages.

  • did you do any other mods besides motor and esc?
