I really think that the original song was just about a person being depressed, and the only thing that gets them out of it is Anti-Depression Pills. But then Lil Wayne, either in a creative or parodic mood, made it about marijuana. End of discussion, it doesn't get much deeper than that. Rap lyrics aren't known for their complexity.
