  • Tho this album was very un-KISS like when it came out, I loved it. Still on on the greatest Kiss albums of all time.

    Mr. Blackwell kicks arse.

  • This is my favorite Kiss album. The guitar solo in "Just a boy" is (Imo) extremely well played .... Play it very loud and you'll know what I mean :-)

  • I actually like World Without Hero's. One of Gene's best ballads.

  • in my opion i think its the best album kiss ever made

  • @RockJim72 I believe Paul plays most of the leads on the Elder except about 3 songs

  • Actually the hand on the door is Paul's hand, and this door was part of the scenary made in studio. (manager said that in KISS: Behind the Mask)

  • only good song on the entire album is I !!!

  • I think this album aint that bad to be honest. By the way it is Pauls hand on the cover..

  • I love this KISS album! Underrated!!!!

  • Kiss is the Master of Changes! So many albums and so few that sound the same!

  • @darthinfurnus I just looked on *Pedia and seems it is the Japanese version you want. As I lived in Italy for 3 years followed by Japan for 6 it's easy to get confused. If you just play them in the order of "Fanfare" and see how well it flows directly into "Just a Boy" you see how the original opened more theatrically. I personally loved the songs from this album, I just couldn't stand very much else about it.

  • @FloridaBeachMG

That's great to know. I had no idea. I'll try to track down a German version of The Elder on vinyl with the KIZZ logo. Thank you
