i am giving you a run through (how-to) of how i weather my rollingstock. first i pick the load out of the cars. then i fade the loads and railcars down to make them look worn down. i use acrylic paint and my airbrush to do this but it can also be done using regular brushes. for the basic weathering i use oil paints mixed with orderless petroleum. the advantage of using oil paint is that it never really drys. as long as you done clear-coat it you can always apply more petroleum and work with it. last step is to do some rust using dry and wet pigments...

  • Some comment about what is happening would be useful, eg what he is painting, what paints, what airbrush, what pressure, what diluent, why the masking and with what ....need I go on?

And the background (or should that be foreground) music is obtrusive.

For watching the video, I am no wiser
