They are promenading. At that time, public park spaces served one purpose only, seeing and being seen, placing oneself on display. These were social events. I love how reserved and polite everyone is. No one is talking acting out or walking into one another. I've always said Drew Barrymore ought to take on a period film role because she has the IDEAL face of am Edwardian lady with her Barrymore chin and large almond shaped eyes. I bet a lot of those ppl stink though, especially the women.

I enjoy your videos. Every aspect of the production is first rate. For those interested in the works of art on display at the Paris Exposition Universelle of 1900 (the subject of this video), check out my dramatic video of Amphora Art Nouveau pottery. A few of the vases, such as the dragon mold, are examples of models that Amphora presented at the exposition. Amphora received a gold medal in ceramics at this grand event. @monka1236 If you belong edto the itty bitty teeny tiny sliver of humanity that's white and male and heterosexual and able-bodied and at least middle class it was pretty cool as long as you didn't get a serious injury or illness. Otherwise not so much.

It was filmed during the World's Fair. (Exposition Universelle of 1900). It was a large exhibition held in Paris which celebrated progress and industry.
