Dedicated to my rock band student who will possibly grace the cover of Guitar World some day, Taylor Boese. "Blair Witch"-style camera work done by Gabe Carson! Done in black & white, because I'm just in a noir mood today. No other reason.

  • Thanks for this.. I just recently got back into guitar after a 10 year layoff and really wanted to nail this solo and song to start things off and of all the videos and tabs I've seen this has been by far the most helpful.

  • @citb289 Wow - thanks so much for the encouragement. I'm really glad this was useful to you. Makes me feel good to think we're broadening the axe-wielding population of this planet! ;)

  • Finally..after sifting through about 20 videos of absolute shit...this nigga

  • @TheHogsman No frikkin doubt. That's what made me do this video!! ha

  • very nice, thanks. took 30 mins to find it.

  • @Ariankangaroo No problem - I live to make the world a more guitar...correct... kinda place. Yep, A & D strings - if we're talking about the same place.. And to get that deep sound on the last note you have to tune your low E string down to a D (called drop-D tuning). They tune that way for this whole song, actually.

  • @Ariankangaroo @Ariankangaroo If you're talkin about at the end of the run from the B string up to the A string, the pull-off on the A string is just from the 4th fret to the open A. If you're talking about the one @ 1:34 it's a quickie on the A string - 4-5-4-0. Both sound harder than they are! :) Just the way I likes it.

  • @fretworx Sorry for the thousands of waves of questions. I am eager to learn, and a tad hyper. That last little bit is played over the A and D strings? I can't seem to get the sound. also that last note played sounds really deep. How did you achieve it.

  • @fretworx Thank you, oh god of house of guitar playing! I have a pack of Neosporin next to me! Let's do this!

  • Whats that last little pull off at the end?
